Went to the nicest restaurant looking over Dawlish and Dawlish Warren in Exmouth harbour.
It's never too early for a cider, and damn that was a good'un, even if it did result in me being tipsy walking around Exmouth.
This is Gandy street in Exeter, which is one of my favourite places to shop. If you're ever in the area I truly recommend it! Its full of one off cute shops and rustic cafes.
Definitely think that spontaneously jumping on the train to Devon, even if it meant being up on the train for 6am, was totally worth it. And it was the perfect medicine for forgetting about 'you know what.'
A little bit of spontaneity gave me some of the nicest few days. So I encourage you to go out on a whim, and be a little spontaneous as it'll be worth it and may give you some of your best memories!
Do tell me some of your spontaneous days!

Spontaneous days are the best! You don't have any expectations and they usually end up being fantastic.
ReplyDeleteDon't worry about your results - there is nothing you can do about it now! (Said by the girl who for the past 2 months was convinced I'd failed my second year of uni!)
You may not get the grades you expect (I sure didn't get the grades I needed) but there are plenty of options! I ended up going to an absolutely brilliant uni in the top 20 in the UK with pretty mediocre grades and I have come out of uni with firsts both years. I guess I'm just saying don't worry and if you need any help at all let me know (I went through the whole I've not done well enough-thing two years ago - I ended up fine!)

Just want to say thank you, for your kind words. They truly helped make me feel better when I thought that would be impossible! I didn't get the grades I wanted but for some reason my uni gave me a place regardless! Flipping Miracle! Thank you so much!!
DeleteI love a spontaneous trip, and I'd love to visit Devon. Looks like you had a lovely day and got to chill out and forget about your results day for a bit.
ReplyDeleteEchoing what Rachael said... Don't worry too much about your results, I know it seems like not getting what you wanted is the worst thing in the world but I promise its not! I drove home crying after I got my results because I didn't get what i'd expected. I had a gap year and then applied to uni and couldn't be happier with where I am now.
So whatever happens it will all be ok and it might be the best thing that happened. Good luck though. If you're off to uni, Im going to be writing a starting uni series over on my blog within the next week If you'd like to see it.

I literally read your comment before I went and got my results and it made me feel loads better! Unfortunately I didn't get the grades I wanted, and also drove home crying hahah, but for some reason I was stupidly lucky and my university still wanted me.
DeleteI'm looking forward to reading your series. I have a feeling it'll be gospel as I move out within the next month!
